PRESALE
This is the artist’s maquette of the upcoming book, limited edition of 300, to be released by December 2025.
El Muqui comprises photographs made by Paccarik Orué in Cerro de Pasco, Perú, between 2012 and 2019.
Cerro de Pasco is a historical mining city that is threatened to exist due to an environmental disaster caused by an open-pit mine located in the middle of the city. The book combines myth, traditions and history to convey the story of its inhabitants who are holding on to what is still left of their beloved land.
